NAVIGATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of giving proper guidance to a destination even in the case of using map data in which an HOV(High Occupancy Vehicle) lane and a normal lane are expressed with one link.SOLUTION: The navigation device comprises: an HOV lane gateway extraction part 36 for extracting a gateway section between an HOV lane and a normal lane existing in front of a vehicle; an on-HOV lane branch extraction part 43 for extracting a branch point on the HOV lane existing in front of the vehicle; a guidance timing adjustment part 39 for determining a guidance timing by using the start point of a lane changeable section specified by the gateway section extracted by the HOV lane gateway extraction part 36 and the branch point extracted by the on-HOV lane branch extraction part 43 as a reference; and a control part 30 for, while the vehicle is traveling in the HOV lane, giving departure guidance to inform the vehicle that the vehicle is able to depart from the HOV lane and the guidance of the exit information of the front expressway after the vehicle departs from the HOV lane at the guidance timing determined by the guidance timing adjustment part 39.
