Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition of which the water-based ink containing polyglyceryl isostearate of high lubricity as a shear viscosity reducing agent can stably keep excellent writing ability for a long time without suffering viscosity change, even after a long term storage under a high temperature atmosphere, and to provide a ball point pen having the same therein.SOLUTION: There are provided a water-based ink composition for a ball point pen containing a pigment, water, a polyglyceryl isostearate, and an organic acid monoglyceride, and a ball point pen having the water-based ink composition for a ball point pen therein.
