Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop antenna relay device and communication system capable of improving operability in the case of making a medium be read, without being restricted by arrangement of a loop antenna of an information terminal.SOLUTION: A relay device 20 arranged for an information terminal 10 comprising a terminal antenna 11 comprises: a first antenna 41; a main body case unit 31 in which the first antenna 41 is installed and which keeps positional relation between the first antenna 41 and information terminal 10 in a state where the first antenna 41 and terminal antenna 11 are opposed to each other so that the first antenna 41 and terminal antenna 11 are coupled with each other by an electromagnetic induction method; and a second antenna 42 electrically connected to the first antenna 41. The second antenna 42 has an external form whose size is different from that of an external form of the terminal antenna 11, where the size enables the second antenna 42 to be coupled with a tag antenna 52 of an IC tag 50 by an electromagnetic induction method.
