Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery high in capacity and excellent in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a negative electrode plate where a negative electrode active material layer having a negative electrode active material and a binder is formed on a negative electrode core, the negative electrode active material includes a silicon oxide and a carbonaceous substance, the mass of the silicon oxide relative to the sum of masses of the silicon oxide and the carbonaceous substance is 1-20 mass%, the ratio O/Si between oxygen atoms and silicon atoms in the silicon oxide is 0.5-1.5, the binder includes a binder A comprising a compound having a double bond and a binder B comprising a water-soluble polymer compound, the binder A has a distribution where the binder A is present more on the negative electrode core side of the negative electrode active material layer than the surface side thereof, and the binder B is present at least around the silicon oxide.
