DEVICE FOR INSPECTING OPTICAL FILM AND METHOD FOR INSPECTING OPTICAL FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for inspecting an optical film, which is capable of surely detecting a defect of a single optical film.SOLUTION: The device for inspecting an optical film includes: a light source which emits light; an imaging unit including at least one camera which images light from the light source; two light-transmissive plate members which are arranged between the light source and the imaging unit so as to hold an optical film being an inspection object therebetween and transmit the light from the light source; and a driving mechanism which changes a relative positional relation between the imaging unit and two light-transmissive plate members in a direction parallel with surfaces of the two light-transmissive plate members. The imaging unit captures two kinds of images of a rough image captured via a lens having a depth of field equal to or more than the thickness of the optical film and a fine image captured via a lens having a depth of field equal to or more than half the thickness of the optical film.
