ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue providing elevator services before and after a power stoppage notified in beforehand, without wasting capacity of an accumulator.SOLUTION: An elevator control system includes: an elevator control device which has an accumulator, a detection unit which detects a power stoppage of a commercial power source, a switching unit which responds to detection of the power stoppage and switches over the power source to the accumulator, and a main control unit that refers to power stoppage start time notified in beforehand and switches over an operation mode to a power stoppage preparatory operation mode, when remaining time until power stoppage start is within a prescribed time and an elevator car state is in an appropriate state for switching over the operation mode from a normal operation mode to the power stoppage preparatory operation mode in which the elevator car is operated at lower speed than rated speed of an elevator in the normal operation mode, and that switches over the operation mode to an accumulator operation mode operated by the accumulator, according to the switchover of the power source to the accumulator; and an elevator drive control device for controlling operation of the elevator car according to an operation mode from the elevator control device.
