Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle capable of preventing, even if one end of a propeller shaft falls, the propeller shaft from damaging a falling prevention device and from colliding with the floor base of the vehicle body.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle 1 includes: a propeller shaft 40 connected both to a speed reducer 33 that is a member on a truck side and to a liquid transmission 11 that is a member on a drive source side; and a falling prevention device 50 for preventing the propeller shaft 40 attached to a floor base 22 of a vehicle body 20 from contacting with the ground. The falling prevention device 50 includes an annular part 70 for surrounding the propeller shaft 40 by forming gaps X1, Y1, both up and down, left and right in relation with the propeller shaft 40 when viewed from a direction of the propeller shaft 40 extending. The annular part 70 is attached with an annular cushion rubber 72 on inside of a steel annular frame 71 for absorbing impact force by the rubber elastically deforming, and with an annular stainless steel plate 73 on inside of the cushion rubber 72, the plate having a lower coefficient of friction than that of the cushion rubber 72.
