WORKPIECE TRANSPORT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable alternately transporting workpieces by a single driving mechanism with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: First and second workpiece support units 3 and 4 of a workpiece transport device 1 are configured to couple support members 16A and 16B and rack members to receiving portions 14A and 14B supporting a workpiece W, respectively, and to engage a pinion 19 between the two rack members. A first cam groove 8 and a second cam groove 9 each having a curved portion are provided on a substrate 2, and first and second guide rails 5 and 6 are provided rockably on the first cam groove 8 and the second cam groove 9, respectively. Cam followers 10 and 11 are slidably fitted and inserted into the first and second cam grooves 8 and 9 from the receiving portions 14A and 14B, respectively. A rod 23 of a hydraulic cylinder 22 is coupled to the receiving portion 14A. If the rod 23 of the hydraulic cylinder 22 is expanded or contracted to transport the first support unit 3, then the first support unit 3 moves forward along the first guide rail 5 rocking along the first cam groove 8, and the second workpiece support unit 4 moves in an opposite direction via the pinion 19 synchronously with the first support unit 3.
