Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which may reduce compression stress occurring in a stator core without adding a new member.SOLUTION: An electric motor includes: a housing 11; a stator 41 which is held by the housing 11 and has an iron core 42 formed by laminating multiple magnetic steel plates; and a rotor 45 which is placed at the inner side of the stator 41 and is supported so as to rotate around a rotation shaft relative to the housing 11. The iron core 42 includes: a first region which contacts with the housing 11 and receives a pressure thereby being held by the housing 11; and a second region which is disposed in a region excluding the first region and is spaced away from the housing. The electric motor including the structure may reduce compression stress occurring in the stator core without adding a new member.
