When the response speed of a photodetector is sufficiently higher than the frequency of a drive signal S1, as a case of a photodiode, a receiver having the mounted photodetector can receive a high-frequency optical communication signal. On the other hand, when the response speed of a photodetector is lower than the frequency of the drive signal S1, as a case of a CMOS image sensor, a receiver having the mounted photodetector can receive a low-frequency optical communication signal separately by a low pass filter, for example. |
