DEVELOPING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate adverse effect of a toner scattering prevention member on a developing roller, while effectively preventing toner scattering.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 10 includes: a housing 21 having a supply port 31 for supplying toner to a photoreceptor drum 8 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed; a developing roller 25 arranged in the housing 21 in a rotatable manner and developing the electrostatic latent image with developer via the supply port 31; a toner scattering prevention member 26 which prevents the developer from scattering from the supply port 31; and a moving mechanism 27 which moves the developing roller 25 in the housing 21 between a developing position near the supply port 31 and a storage position located deeper than the developing position from the supply port 31. The toner scattering prevention member 26 moves between an open position near the supply port 31 and a retreat position distant from the open position, while separating from the developing roller 25 along with displacement of the developing roller 25.
