PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring device by which a remote replacement operation is facilitated at a low cost.SOLUTION: According to the embodiment, the remote monitoring device for the operation of a manipulator device 3 which penetrates through and fixed to a shielding wall 1 for radioactive rays includes: a panorama camera ball 9 capable of imaging the conditions of the manipulator device 3 and a target 50 at the opposite side of the shielding wall 1 viewed from an operator; and a camera arm 4 fixed to the shielding wall 1, extensible and variable in angle in a horizontal direction, and for hanging the panorama camera ball 9. The panorama camera ball 9 is a polyhedron having a plurality of spherical surfaces in the external shape, and includes a camera in each of the plurality of surfaces, and each of the plurality of cameras may include an image compression processing circuit for subjecting video images to compression processing and a wireless communication unit for transmitting information subjected to the compression processing by the image compressing processing circuit.
