Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance usability of portable navigation system having vibration detection means.SOLUTION: A portable navigation device comprises: a GPS reception unit for positioning a current position; a map storage unit for storing map information; and a display unit. The device performs route guidance for a vehicle and route guidance for walking from specified departure place to destination. The device also comprises: a vibration detection unit for detecting vibration; a vibration analysis unit for analyzing a vibration detection result made by the vibration detection unit; and a determination unit for determining whether to perform route guidance for a vehicle or route guidance for walking on the basis of a vibration analysis result made by the vibration analysis unit.
