HOLE PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hole plug capable of securing blockage of a through hole and reducing a projecting amount of a cover portion from a mounted member in a state of blocking the through hole.SOLUTION: At least a first groove portion 54 is circularly formed on a surface 20C of a cover portion 20 of a hole plug 10. The first groove portion 54 is formed into the circular shape having a diameter smaller than a through hole at an outer peripheral side of a connecting portion of the cover portion 20 and a body portion 24 extended from a back surface of the cover portion 20. Thus the cover portion 20 is pressed to an inserting direction to the through hole, a central portion 20A of the cover portion 20 is pressed into the through hole at the first groove portion 54 as a base point when the cover portion 20 is deflected, and elastically deformed to a reverse warp position. As a result, a projecting amount of the cover portion 20 of the hole plug 10 from a body panel 12 can be reduced, and a first claw portion 32 and a second claw portion 36 formed at an outer peripheral side of the body portion 24 can be surely engaged with a peripheral edge of the through hole of the body panel 12.
