Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make busy shift suppression sufficiently compatible with fuel consumption reduction by determining the possibility of up shift while being appropriately reflected with an influence such as a change in traveling environment of a vehicle or a driving operation of the crew in a gear shift control device for controlling an automatic transmission 2 while referring to a gear shift map on the basis of a driving state of the vehicle.SOLUTION: In the case of up shift on a gear shift map (ST1), such a maximum driving force of a vehicle is calculated as to maintain a gear shift stage (e.g., sixth gear) after the up shift even when an accelerator stepping operation is performed at a present vehicle velocity V0 (ST2). The up shift is performed (ST7, ST8) when a marginal driving force obtained by subtracting a traveling resistance component at the present vehicle velocity V0 from the maximum driving force is a determination threshold Th or more. When the marginal driving force is less than the determination threshold Th, on the other hand, the up shift is not performed (ST9). When a normal traveling state is continued, the subtraction processing of the determination threshold Th is performed at an interval of a predetermined period. |
