Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline epoxy resin which is excellent in water resistance of the cured product and has a low melt viscosity and to provide an epoxy resin composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a crystalline epoxy resin represented by the formula (1), which is obtained by reacting a compound represented by the formula (2) and epihalohydrin, has a melting point of 95°C or more and has an epoxy equivalent of 251 g/eq or less. There is provided an epoxy resin composition which comprises 0.7 to 1.2 equivalents of a curing agent based on 1 equivalent of an epoxy resin including the crystalline epoxy resin. There is provided an epoxy resin composition which contains 0.1 to 5.0 pts.wt. of a curing accelerator based on 100 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin and contains 90 wt.% or less of an inorganic filler in the epoxy resin composition.
