HEAT PIPE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which improves cooling efficiency by making a wick properly adhere to an internal face of a housing wall of a heat pipe.SOLUTION: A heat pipe 2 comprises a wick 4 therein. The wick 4 is joined to a housing wall internal face region which corresponds to a cooling object installation region 3a defined on a housing external face of the heat pipe 2. The heat of a cooling object can be easily transmitted to the wick by joining the wick at the backside of the cooling object installation region at which a temperature becomes high. In other words, the thermal resistance of the heat pipe is lowered. Furthermore, at the circumference of the cooling object installation region 3a, the heat pipe housing wall and the wick are not adhered to each other excessively, so as not to inhibit a flow of a working fluid. The structure above makes compatible a reduction in thermal resistance of the heat pipe and easiness in movement of the working fluid.
