COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING FOR INDUSTRIAL INK JET PRINTER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRINT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for an industrial ink jet printer dealing with the printing speed of an industrial ink jet printer while having printability to the conventional printer such as off-set printing.SOLUTION: Regarding the coated paper for printing for an industrial ink jet printer in which at least one side of a supporting body is provided with two or more coated paper layers essentially consisting of a pigment(s) and a binder, at least one kind of the pigment(s) in the lower layer in contact with the supporting body is made of heavy calcium carbonate, the content in the lower layer of the heavy calcium carbonate with the average grain size of 0.1 to 0.28 μm lies in the range of 60 pts.mass or more to 100 pts.mass of the total pigment in the lower layer, and also the lower layer comprises a cationic compound, and at least one kind of the pigment(s) in the outermost layer provided at the most external side based on the supporting body is made of colloidal silica with the average grain size in the range of 150 nm or lower.
