PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush capable of being formed even by a carbon fiber.SOLUTION: A brush includes a base 3, and a brush part 5 provided on the base 3. The brush part 5 is formed from a sheet member made by knitting a carbon fiber with a warp knitting machine. The sheet member is formed by using a fiber bundle to be a brush hair part 15 as the weft of the warp knitting machine, inserting the vicinity of a folded part while folding the weft to right and left sides into a chain stich part 17 formed from the warp, and binding the vicinity of the folded part of the weft by the chain stich part 17. The base 3 is provided on both the right and left end parts of the sheet member by insert molding, and the central part of the sheet member is cut so as to form the brush 1. The chain stich part 17 formed from the warp is provided in contact with the base 3.
