PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a gamma correction table with high accuracy by appropriately correcting the measurement result of output concentration on a recording medium by a sensor.SOLUTION: A gamma correction table generation method includes: an acquisition step for acquiring concentration information obtained by reading by a readout sensor each dot pattern on a concentration patch having periodically disposed predetermined dot patterns, in a manner to include the plurality of dot patterns; a correction step for correcting the concentration information on the basis of relationship between a pixel value of each pixel in the dot pattern and a tone represented by the dot pattern; and on the basis of the corrected concentration information, a gamma correction table generation step for generating the gamma correction table.
