PREPARATION OF SAMPLES BASED ON SIGNALS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comprehensive and integrated method of automatically, with high reproducibility and simply treating a sample observed with an optical microscope for observation with an electron microscope.SOLUTION: A system and a method are intended for so actuating a fluidics system as to detect whether or not a biological event has occurred in a cell sample and subsequently fix the cell correspondingly to the event. In one example, a sample preparation system has a camera to be connected to a confocal microscope that obtains information from the cell sample. Once a detectable event such as an event of combination occurs, the sample preparation system so discharges a fixing agent as to fix the cell to match the time at which the event is detected.
