Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle capable of suppressing twist deformation of a seat back frame without increasing weight and cost while making use of whiplash injury reduction effect.SOLUTION: The seat back frame 5 is supported at a seat cushion frame 4 through a right-and-left pair of pivot supporting parts a, b so as to rotate in a cross direction. The right pivot supporting part b has a reclining mechanism 9 for holding the seat back 3 to the seat cushion 2 at a desired angular position. The left pivot supporting part a has a damper mechanism 13 for generating rotation resistance force which is in proportion to relative rotation angular speed of the seat back 3 to the seat cushion 2.
