Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and accurately grasp an arrangement position of a monitoring device for monitoring a battery pack in the case where abnormality occurs in the monitoring device.SOLUTION: A BMU 20 acquires battery state information of a corresponding battery pack 50 from each of a plurality of CMUs 10 for monitoring a plurality of battery packs 50 each including one or more secondary battery cells. The BMU 20 comprises: a comparison section 21 in which, when the CMUs 10 are activated in a predetermined order, an order number of activating the CMU 10 is compared with an identification number, allocated to each of the CMUs 10, acquired from the CMU 10; and a change section 22 in which, when the order number and the identification number are different, the identification number is changed into the same number as the order number and the changed new identification number is outputted to the CMU 10.
