PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support system, an operation support method, and a computer program that enable a user to perform correct operation with no error by allowing the user to correctly grasp an arrangement mode or a shape of an operation object virtually arranged on an operation surface.SOLUTION: A vibration reference value is set for a coordinate system of a touch pad 7 on the basis of an arrangement mode or a shape of an operation object virtually arranged on the touch pad 7, the position of a touch point where a user touches the touch pad 7 is detected, a displacement mode of the vibration reference value corresponding to the touch point due to movement of the touch point is specified, and an operation surface is vibrated in accordance with a waveform based on the specified displacement mode (S10). Then, especially when movement velocity of the touch point is equal to or higher than a threshold, a displacement mode of the vibration reference value due to movement of the touch point in the future is predicted on the basis of a history of the detected position of the touch point, and the touch pad 7 is vibrated in accordance with a waveform based on the predicted displacement mode (S11).
