PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor capable of improving the detecting accuracy of a detection object.SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 1 includes a magnet 2 having: a first base part 21 and a second base part 22; a first extension part 24 and a second extension part 25 formed so as to be extended from one side and the other side of the first base part 21 such that a first end part 240 at one side and a second end part 250 at the other side are more closely positioned at the second base part 22 side rather than a first internal wall 210 of the first base part 21 facing the second base part 22; a third extension part 26 and a fourth extension part 27 formed so as to be extended from one side and the other side of the second base part 22 such that a third end part 260 at one side and a fourth end part 270 at the other side are more closely positioned at the first base part 21 side rather than a second internal wall 220 of the second base part 22 facing the first base part 21; a first slit 28 formed of the first end part 240 and the third end part 260 which are facing each other; and a second slit 29 formed of the second end part 250 and the fourth end part 270 which are facing each other.
