PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot which can improve convenience for a user.SOLUTION: A robot 100 includes: a base 101 which is disposed at an installation place of the robot 100; a robot body 102 which is installed on the base 100. The base 101 includes: a casing 101a into which a control cable 3 pulled out from a plurality of actuators Ac0, Ac1L-Ac7L, and Ac1R-Ac7R are introduced; an opening 10a which is arranged on a lower surface of the base 101a; and an opening 10b which is arranged on a posterior surface of the base 101a. The opening 10a is configured to selectively attach/detach one of a connector plate 11a with connectors to which tips of the control cable 3 can be attached and a lid part 12a without a connector. The opening 10b is configured to selectively attach/detach one of a connector plate 11b with connectors to which tips of the control cable 3 can be attached, and a lid part 12b without a connector.
