ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR FRICTION BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment structure for a friction body which is used to attach a friction body to a thermochromic writing instrument, enables easy attachment of an annular friction body to an outer sheath of a writing instrument containing a thermochromic ink in such a condition that the upper outer edge part can come reliably into contact with handwriting and has high decorativeness although with high friction heat generation efficiency on friction.SOLUTION: An attachment structure for a friction body is used to attach a friction body rubbing handwriting with an ink capable of undergoing decoloration or color change by heating to a cap or a barrel of a writing instrument through an engagement member. The friction body has a hole part, and an engagement member is inserted into the hole part. In the engagement member, an insertion part protruding out of the friction body is provided, and the friction body is attached to the cap or barrel by engaging the insertion part in the cap or barrel.
