Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reducing nitrogen oxides (NO) in a flowing combustion exhaust gas to Nunder relatively cool exhaust gas conditions.SOLUTION: The method comprises oxidizing nitrogen monoxide to nitrogen dioxide with a transition metal/zeolite catalyst at catalyst bed temperatures below 50°C, and reducing NOwith the catalyst using a hydrocarbon (HC) reductant at catalyst bed temperatures below 150°C. The transition metal is selected from the group consisting of cobalt, manganese, cerium, copper, iron, chromium and mixtures of any two or more thereof. |
