RF CHANNEL AMPLIFIER MODULE HAVING INSTANTANEOUS POWER LIMITING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio frequency (RF) channel amplifier module having an instantaneous power limiting function.SOLUTION: A radio frequency channel amplifier module 10 for a communication satellite includes: input; output pre-amplified and aimed at supplying power to a traveling-wave tube amplifier that may comprise linearization means using pre-distortion; at least one first upstream gain control module 201 placed downstream of the input; and at least one second downstream gain control module 203 placed downstream of the first upstream gain control module 201 and upstream of the linearization means by any pre-distortion. The channel amplifier module 10 also includes an instantaneous power limiter HL, and the instantaneous power limiter is placed serially between the first upstream gain control module 201 and the second downstream gain control module 203.
