Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of electrical color mixing (crosstalk) in an organic EL device.SOLUTION: An organic EL device includes: a base layer 2; a plurality of bottom electrodes 3 arranged in a surface portion of the base layer 2 at an interval in a lateral direction along a surface of the base layer 2; an organic layer 8 which contains an organic light emitting material, is arranged on the base layer 2 so as to cover the plurality of bottom electrodes 3 collectively, and is divided into a plurality of pixels 5 corresponding to the plurality of bottom electrodes 3, respectively; a top electrode 9 opposed to the plurality of bottom electrodes 3 with the organic layer 8 interposed therebetween; and a gate electrode 4, which is arranged at a region between mutually adjacent bottom electrodes 3 in a planar view seen from the normal direction of the surface of the base layer 2, for turning off a parasitic transistor formed by cooperation of the top electrode 9 and mutually adjacent bottom electrodes 3.
