USER INTERFACE PROVIDING INFORMATION SYSTEM TOPOLOGY DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an end-to-end topology of an information system with high density.SOLUTION: The information on connection or dependency among components within an information system is collected; the components are classified into one of a plurality of classes; graphical topology display of the information system is displayed in a predetermined number of columns within a user interface; each column corresponds to one of the plurality of classes; each column includes icons representing the components classified into the corresponding classes and having a horizontal outer shape; the icon includes a character string representing an identifier of the component inside the outer shape and additional information of the corresponding component inside the outer shape; and the height of the outer shape of the icon is set to be higher than the height of the character string.
