Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard coat film which has low moisture permeability and sufficient surface hardness and offers superior display image quality and productivity, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor, an anti-reflection film, a polarizing plate, and an image display device.SOLUTION: A hard coat film comprises a transparent support body having a hard coat layer formed on at least one surface thereof. The hard coat layer is made of a hard-coat-layer forming composition containing a compound having an alicyclic hydrocarbon group and three or more ethylenically unsaturated double bond groups per molecule, and a polymerization initiator.
