Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for a starting motor machine that can protect an electric power supply path to a motor of the starting motor machine needed for starting an engine when the engine is start for the first time.SOLUTION: A starting motor machine 1 applies turning force to an engine when the engine is started. A current limiting part 10 limits a current to be supplied from a battery to the starting motor machine 1. A control device 8 discriminates between a request to start the engine by an ignition key operation (initial starting) and a request to start the engine in an idling stop state (restarting) when a vehicle temporarily stops, and then supplies a large current to the starting motor machine from the battery not through the current limiting part in the initial starting and the limited current to the starting motor machine from the battery not through the current limiting part in the restarting.
