PAPER FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of performing pressure contact and release of pressure contact by a paper feeding mechanism at appropriate timing interlocking with the insertion/withdrawal of the paper feeder from a device body, and an image forming device including the paper feeder.SOLUTION: When withdrawing a paper feeder 4A, which is accommodated in a device body 2, from the device body 2, only a front cover 42 slides forward until the movement of a positioning pin 423 is regulated by a positioning groove 431 of a recording paper accommodation part 43. By the slide of the front cover 42, a pressure contact control member 424 is separated from a paper feeding mechanism 8, and the pressure contact to recording paper by the paper feeding mechanism 8 is released. After that, by withdrawing the front cover 42 even further, the recording paper accommodation part 43 locked with the front cover 42 by the positioning groove 431 and the positioning pin 423 slides forward while being integral with the front cover 42.
