Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified purification procedure which brings about a high purity level while reducing complexity and/or expense of purification steps, and to provide the purification procedure which can obtain a capsular polysaccharide with a good yield regardless of an initial purity of a polysaccharide.SOLUTION: The capsular polysaccharide (cp) is an important immunogen seen on surfaces of bacteria which are participating in various bacterial diseases. According to the feature, the capsular polysaccharide (cp) serves as an important component in the design of a vaccine. If the capsular polysaccharide is particularly connected to a carrier protein, it is shown that the capsular polysaccharide is useful to induce immune response. The present invention relates to the field of bacterial culture, specifically, a novel purification method which is suitable for optimization of culture condition for improving production of bacterial capsular polysaccharide from streptococcus strain in feed batch type cultivation and production scale purification of the bacterial capsule polysaccharide from the streptococcus strain, and which brings about a purity level higher than that obtained on a conventional production scale.
