IMPURITY REMOVAL MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impurity removal mechanism capable of producing twisted wire conductors freed from impurities while reducing electric consumption, and further capable of eliminating adverse influence caused by impurities upon twisting.SOLUTION: Provided is an impurity removal mechanism 10 provided at a wire twisting machine 13 in which a plurality of elemental wire conductors 12 can be twisted by a rotating main shaft 11 and removing impurities stuck to the elemental wire conductors 12, and comprising: a blade part 17 fitted to the tip part 14 on the incoming side of the main shaft 11 and generating an air flow at the twisting mouth part 15 of the wire twisting machine 13; and a hood 18 rectifying the air flow generated at the blade part 17 toward the elemental wire conductors 12.
