Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nobel information processing apparatus which enables firmware remote update.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: means for holding configuration information including version information of respective modules constituting firmware; means for acquiring from the outside the firmware information including the latest version information of the respective modules; means for comparing the version information included in the configuration information with the latest version information included in the firmware information, to determine that the firmware can be updated when they do not match each other; means for downloading from the outside the firmware of the latest version corresponding to the firmware determined to be updated; and means for comparing the version information of the respective modules constituting the downloaded firmware of the latest version with the version information of the respective modules included in the configuration information, to update only the module having different version.
