PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily estimate the direction of a human body of a target person in one image.SOLUTION: A detection part 106 acquires a contour line of the head and the area around shoulders of a person detected from an image. An image feature calculation part 108 calculates an image feature from the contour line acquired by the detection part 106. A storage part 109 stores information showing a correspondence relation between the image feature and the direction of the human body. A determination part 110 calculates the direction of the human body from the image feature calculated by the image feature calculation part 108 on the basis of information showing the correspondence relation.
