PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness when a user searches for desired data by manual operation.SOLUTION: A control unit (4) stores a data string comprising folder names of folders included in an absolute path to a folder where each of a plurality of document files stored in a plurality of folders constituting a tree structure is stored, into a hard disk (8) as meta information of the document file. Further, the control unit (4) causes a display unit (12) to display an image showing a virtual tree constituted of a plurality of virtual folders corresponding to the plurality of folders, on the basis of dara strings stored in the hard disk (8). When at least one folder name is designated by a user, the control unit (4) updates a data string including the folder name designated by the user, out of data strings stored in the hard disk (8).
