Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for securely connecting to a wireless local area network.SOLUTION: The method connects a first device 10 to a wireless local area network by transferring any required network related data by encoding the network data as light signals and emitting the light signals from a second device 12. The method also includes receiving the light signals in light sensitive means 20 of the first device, decoding the light signals to retrieve the network related data, and transmitting the network related data from the first device for connecting to the wireless local area network.
