Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon material with a multilayer structure for an electrode, high in electrode packing properties, high in energy density and excellent in quick charge/discharge characteristics.SOLUTION: A carbon material with a multilayer structure for an electrode is obtained by mixing an organic compound carbonized through a firing process and a spherical graphite particle and then firing the organic compound to be carbonized, and simultaneously satisfies the following (1)-(5) conditions. (1) an average particle diameter is 2-70 μm. (2) a specific surface area is 1-10 m/g. (3) an R value is 0.01-1.0. (4) a tap density is 0.9-1.4 g/cm. (5) the carbon material with a multilayer structure for an electrode and the graphite particle have a spherical shape.
