METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING MOTOR TROUBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for detecting a defect that a flow generator or a ventilator may be deteriorated while being used for a medical treatment.SOLUTION: A motor current is measured, and a torque to be inputted by the motor is estimated so that an output torque from an impeller is determined (e.g., by an estimation from and/or a view of a reference table from the model of a motor control system). One or more converters collects the data which are useful for determining input and output torques. A difference between the input torque (to the motor) and the output torque (from the impeller) is calculated. This difference is reduced in noises by using a low-pass filter arbitrarily, and is compared once or over a predetermined time period with a predetermined threshold value so that a serious trouble and/or a deteriorated trouble are detected. If the trouble or the deteriorated trouble is detected, the user is warned, and/or a flow generator comes into the "reservation" mode.
