A workpiece mountable region 40 as a three-dimensional space capable of mounting a workpiece W is set on a workpiece attachment surface 5b, the laser measuring instrument 20 is relatively moved along the outer periphery of the workpiece mountable region 40, and a linear laser beam is radiated to the workpiece mountable region 40. On the basis of the distance information acquired by the laser measuring instrument 20 and relative position information of the laser measuring instrument 20 with respect to the workpiece attachment section 5, the shape and attachment position of the workpiece W are determined.
