PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece turning device that is reduced in energy consumption and can be made at low cost.SOLUTION: An arrangement state of a second upper plate part 27 is controlled so that an inclination angle α of an upper surface 271 of the second upper plate part 27 in an inclined arrangement state becomes smaller than an inclination angle of an upper surface 261 of a first upper plate part 26 in an inclined arrangement state. Consequently, when a workpiece is embraced by a V shape portion formed by an upper surface 261 and an upper surface 271, the center of gravity position of the workpiece is transferred from the position on the upper surface 261 to the position on the upper surface 271. Then, an arrangement state of the first upper plate part 26 and the second upper plate part 27 is changed into a horizontal arrangement state, and thereby the workpiece is placed on the upper surface 271 of the second upper plate part 27. As a result, the workpiece is turned.
