PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device and a communication control method which can simplify an operation of a user when performing relay for connecting an external device to a network.SOLUTION: A smartphone 1 has: an LTE communication section 61 which makes wireless communication with LTE; a WiFi communication section 62 which makes wireless communication with WiFi; and a controller 10 which controls the LTE communication section 61 and the WiFi communication section 62. When charging is started when communication with the WiFi communication section 62 is stopped, the controller 10 permits communication with the WiFi communication section 62 in a first mode in which an external device 200 connected through the WiFi communication section is made to be connected to an LTE network through the LTE communication section 61.
