Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor including an eccentric rotation type compression mechanism (40) having a plurality of cylinder chambers formed between each of pistons (21, 31) and each of cylinders (22, 32) to perform multistage compression, for preventing the complication of a configuration and an increase in the number of components and also preventing the abnormal rise of high pressure.SOLUTION: In a discharge space (83a) of a third-stage compression mechanism of the compression mechanism (40) for four-stage compression, a relief mechanism (100) is provided while being communicated with a discharge space (84a) of a fourth-stage compression mechanism, for preventing the discharge pressure of the compressor from being too high in the operating conditions that high pressure in a refrigerant circuit is lower than the discharge pressure of the third-stage compression mechanism.
