CONSTRUCTION OF QUAY WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of work for removing a damaged wall body or discarding rubbles of the damaged wall body when the wall body is damaged in a quay wall and a new wall body is to be constructed, to reduce time end efforts for constructing the new wall body and to shorten a construction period.SOLUTION: Residual form blocks 1a and 1 of precast concrete are stacked on multiple stages at a front-side position of a damaged former wall body (w) of a quay wall. A gap between the multiple stages of residual form blocks and the former wall body is filled with underwater concrete 30, and a new wall body N is constructed with the multiple stages of residual form blocks and filler underwater concrete at the front side of the former wall body. The residual form block is formed in a laterally long rectangular shape in which a panel is longer in a horizontal direction than in a vertical direction.
