PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a lance for blowing powder, which allows scattering of the powder to be suppressed so that the yield of the powder contributing to a reaction on a bath surface can be improved and costs related to the powder can be reduced.SOLUTION: The lance 1 for blowing powder, which is used for projecting the powder toward the bath surface of a molten metal housed in a refining vessel, includes a single circular injection open hole 2 which is arranged in a tip nozzle part 1b thereof and used for injecting the powder in a circular flow. When the outside diameter of a lance body is D, the circular injection open hole 2 has the hole width W of D×(10-20%) and a pitch circle diameter d of D×(0.5-0.8).
