Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an aluminum foil with thickness of 10 μm or less by an electrolytic process.SOLUTION: An electrolytic cell 1 receives a supply of electrolyte made of a molten salt and has a drum 2 that serves as a cathode for electrolysis. A production method of an aluminum foil 4 includes the steps of: electro-depositing aluminum on the drum 2 while rotating the drum 2 in the electrolytic cell 1, so as to form an aluminum film; and peeling the aluminum film off from the drum 2. The electrolytic cell is preferably held in an inert gas atmosphere so as to avoid oxygen influence on the electrolyte.
