Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a device, data, and a system by maintaining a sleep mode even when a shutdown of commercial power supply occurs during the sleep mode in which the power is supplied from a storage battery.SOLUTION: An image formation device 102 performs power source changeover control so that, in a normal operation mode, power is supplied from the commercial power supply 1222 and, in a sleep mode, the power is supplied from a battery 1218. A CPU 1201 of the image formation device 102, when the shutdown of the external power source is detected by a power source state detection unit 1221 during the sleep mode, controls the returning means so as not to return from the sleep mode even when a return factor occurs.
